Job Details

The Secretary position involves handling correspondence and administrative functions of the Centre under the Director’s guidance. This contract position is initially for one year with possibility of extension based on performance and university requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • BA degree from recognized university (preferably in Sociology/Anthropology/International Relations/History)
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong communication and PR skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Research and writing skills (advantageous)

Position Details

The Secretary role at CCIS offers unique exposure to international academic cooperation and research administration. Unlike traditional secretarial positions, this role involves working with international stakeholders, particularly the Indian High Commission and visiting scholars. The position provides opportunities to engage with academic research, international conferences, and cultural events.

Salary Estimation

The position offers a structured compensation package:The basic salary of Rs. 26,500 is supplemented by Cost of Living Allowance, EPF (12%), ETF (3%), and an additional government-approved allowance of Rs. 5,000 as per UGC Circular No. 02/2022.

The total monthly compensation package amounts to approximately Rs. 35,000 – 40,000.Compared to similar positions in private sector research institutions, this role offers additional benefits of working in an international academic environment while providing government sector benefits and stability.
